CARMEN DUFRENE
I graduated high school from Sulphur Bluff ISD in 2001. In 2006, I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
I currently have my 4-8 mathematics and ESL certifications.
I have been a member of the Math Teachers Mentor program for two years. I have also served as a member of the technology and safety teams. I have attended numerous conferences over the years pertaining to math, technology, science and curriculum. A few of the conferences I have attended are CAMT, TCEA, and Lead4Ward Rockin’ Review. More recently, I was a member of the Texas Regional Science Collaborative and attended Coal Camp.
This is my fifth year as a North Hopkins Panther. I currently teach fifth and sixth grade science.
Before teaching at North Hopkins, I taught junior high math at Harts Bluff ISD for 8 years.
I have been married for 12 years, have three children, and numerous animals.
