My name is Marcie Cox. I grew up in both Hopkins and Lamar Counties, and I graduated from Chisum High School in 1998. I knew, even before graduating nursing school, that I wanted to be a School Nurse. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to do that now for the past 10 years. I am passionate about working with kids, and I can't imagine doing anything else at this point. I truly have a heart for small schools, and I am thrilled to be part of the North Hopkins team!

I'm married to Seth Cox. We live on a small cattle ranch in West Delta County with our 2 boys - Reid (6) and Josiah (8). I also have a grown son, Parker, and a daughter-in law, Karly - who live in Paris.

I love history, so I really enjoy documentaries, museums, antiques, etc. We have a 130 yr old farmhouse that I absolutely love, and I have enjoyed fixing it up- it's been a slow process! I also like to cook, and travel-- but mostly, just spend time with my family!

My name is Amanda Clark. I am joining North Hopkins High School this year to teach Chemistry, Forensics, and Anatomy & Physiology. I grew up in Paris and graduated from North Lamar High School in 1993. I attended McMurry University in Abilene, TX, where I began a 15-year youth ministry career. I moved to Sulphur Springs in 2000 to serve as the youth minister at Wesley United Methodist Church. In 2010, I transitioned to teaching biology and other sciences and have taught at Sulphur Springs High School for 8 years.

As a youth minister, I would often visit the school lunches, and I loved the atmosphere at North Hopkins. I feel truly blessed that my own kids will be a part of this school. Ruth will be in 7th grade (she will have her aunt, Taylor, for English class!). Joseph (J.C.) will be in 4th grade. My husband, Joe, serves as the music and youth minister at Wesley United Methodist Church.

My name is Macy Evans. I am excited to be working back in the community that I grew up in. I will be the head softball coach, elementary PE teacher, and I will also be assisting with basketball.
I graduated from NH in 2013. I then attended Tarleton State University where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. This will be my fourth year in education. I coached at Mount Pleasant for two years and I was at Sulphur Bluff for one year. My husband and I recently celebrated one year of marriage. I spend most of my time working but I enjoy doing anything outdoors. I will get to work alongside my mom and some of my past coaches and teachers whom all played a huge role in my career choice. North Hopkins provided me with many opportunities that helped me thrive throughout my life so it is important for me to give back to the NH community. I am grateful to be a Panther again!

Hi there! My name is Lesley Young. I would like to introduce myself as your new 6th grade reading teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I have been teaching for 24 years. For the first part of my career I taught and coached mostly at the junior high level. I was employed at Edgewood ISD and North Lamar ISD. I enjoyed coaching, but stepped away when I had 2 children. My family and I live in Enloe. My son, Gus will be 20 this fall. He is attending Texas A&M Commerce pursuing an agricultural business degree. Laney, my daughter will be a sophomore. She enjoys participating in FFA. She and her team made it to the state level last year placing 10th in the Greenhand Quiz competition. My husband and their father, Rocky, is self-employed. Rocky and Gus work together for RY Construction. When we have down time as a family we love being outdoors. We have cattle, chickens, rabbits, cats, and dogs. We enjoy antique tractors and riding our ATVs. Laney and I are the fishermen in the family. For my personal down time, I love a good book. After my coaching career, I began teaching U.S. History at Paris ISD. In 2013, my children moved to the Cooper schools. So, a few years back I moved closer to home to teach at Cooper Elementary. The last 3 years I taught 5th grade reading. The transition to 6th grade will allow me to work with older students and stay with a subject I have experience with. I can not wait to meet the young leaders of tomorrow at North Hopkins Elementary. Thank you to all who have welcomed me with open arms.​

Hello, my name is Cortney Eudy. My husband and I have been married for two years. I recently graduated from Texas A&M University- Texarkana earning a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I previously worked at NHE as a SPED Aide before starting school full-time. I am excited to be returning to teach First Grade at NHE where my love for teaching began two years ago!

Hello Panthers. My name is Carol Longshore. I have been married to my husband Craig for 24 years. Our son Ryan is 21 and works for Midwest Services. I graduated in 1992 from East Texas State University with my Bachelor’s degree. I am excited to continue my passion for educating students as the 4th grade reading and writing teacher at NHE! So ready to start my 29th year in education as a Panther.

Hey there, my name is Kara Lane and I'm super excited to be joining the NH Kindergarten team! I have been a Kindergarten teacher for 12 years going on my 13th year and a teacher for 18 years going into my 19th year. In 2014, I was named Hopkins County Teacher of the Year. I have lived in the North Hopkins area since my daughter, Kenna was 7 months old. We built a brand new home, almost 3 years ago on family land. My family has been in the North Hopkins area for several generations. We love to travel and have been to over 20 states! We have lots of animals and my daughter shows for NH FFA. We attend a lot of livestock shows. We also spend a lot of time at the lake during the summer and with family! I hope being close to home with several of my close friends, NH Elementary becomes my 2nd home!
