NH Parents/Guardians, Faculty, Staff, and Community, 

With new guidlines and North Hopkins ISD’s practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying all student families and employees that 3 North Hopkins students who were lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 were last present at North Hopkins HS on August 20, 2021 and August 24, 2021. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of the individual or details that may identify him or her. 

Secondary students may have had some form of contact with one of the indviduals.

North Hopkins ISD has directly contacted any individuals determined to be in close contact with the infected individual(s). 

While we do not have reason to believe that those who were not in close contact with the infected individual have reason to be concerned, we ask that you, as always, watch for symptoms of COVID-19. 

Any of the following symptoms indicate a possible COVID-19 infection:

  • Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100 degrees Fahrenheit

  • A sore throat

  • Fatigue  

  • New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty in breathing 

  • New onset of severe headache

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • Muscle or body aches

If you or any member of the North Hopkins ISD community does begin experiencing any of these symptoms in a way that is not typical, we encourage you to contact your physician. We encourage anyone in the North Hopkins ISD community who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 to please notify our school by contacting the school nurese at 903-945-2192 EXT 8014.
