I attended two high schools. My freshman year I attended Abilene Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas. My family then moved to Conroe, Texas and I completed my high school days at Conroe High School. I graduate in 1991.

This is my 1^st year as a North Hopkins panther. I will be teaching 6^th grade ELAR. 

I began teaching in August 1996. I was honored to work with a great district right out of college. I was employed with Edgewood ISD as an elementary P.E. teacher and coach. I working with some amazing people. I left to return closer to home and spent a year at Campbell ISD. I continued to coach and teach elementary P.E. After that I returned to North Lamar ISD to work with my mentor teacher Jeri Wooldridge. I taught in a few different classroom positions and coached. I stayed at North Lamar for 9 years. I left looking for a full time classroom job while my children were young. I moved to Paris Junior High. I taught 8^th grade Social Studies for 6 years. I enjoyed my time there. I moved to the town where I live. I started teaching elementary classroom to be closer to home and at the same district as my children. I heard the call to move one night while scrolling Facebook. I had missed my older students and found the perfect fit job here at North Hopkins. 

I am married to Rocky. We have been married for 23 years. We have two wonderful children. Gus graduated high school in 2019. He works with his father in our company, RY Construction. Our daughter, Laney is a sophomore at Cooper High School. She enjoys participating in FFA. We will in Enloe.  We enjoy our animals. We have cats, dogs, chickens, and cows. In our free time we all love to be outside.
